Men of God,
This is the dawning of not only a new day but a new era in our lives!
“And now, Lord, what wait I for? My hope is in thee.” Psalm 39:7 KJV
Each and everyone one of us at some point or place in our lives has lost hope. We hit rock bottom! The thing we hoped for becomes a faint wish or it becomes a distant thought if we are not careful. We have battled all year long and now we can’t see anything good coming from it. It’s that situation or that circumstance that is on the brink of being called hope-less. i.e. (Marriage on the verge of break-up, finances all mess up, relationship with with your son/daughter is in shambles, or that health concern has gotten worse). It’s when we are in that unhealthy place that we need to remind ourselves of hope. H-O-P-E! Hope is the belief that a positive outcome lies ahead. Hope is a way of thinking, feeling, and acting that may help us find ways to live with difficult situations. The Old Testament scripture above illustrated the Psalmist’s reliance upon the trustworthiness of the Lord. And just like the Psalmist, we need to know with absolute certainty “The LORD can be trusted!” He will keep ALL of His promises. With that in mind, we rejoice in the glory of GOD not with uncertainty but with joyful anticipation that is guaranteed. Hope is our security and expectation! Hope is our safety and positive estimation! Hope is seeing God in our situation! God is our hope for years to come…
Father in Heaven, we thank you for the hope we have in you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!
